It’s time to sell my GB 500. Beautiful bike that rides great. Bike was gone through a couple years ago with new brake pads, air filter, plug, new rectifier, new CDI unit, new coil, tires, fluids flushed, carb rebuilt and tuned, new seat cover. Has Koni rear shocks (originals included) and smog block off plate installed (original smog equipment included). The original tool kit and Honda Service Manual are included as well. It’s not perfect, with a couple of minor nicks and dings, but it is in overall great shape. The electric start doesn’t work. I bought it from the previous owner like that (he seemed to think a new starter would fix it), but it never bothered me because it always starts the first kick. It’s hard to let this one go, but I have another project that needs funding, so I hope it goes to a new owner who loves it as much as I do. Non-oped with no back fees (have too many bikes), clean title in my hand.

No trades.
Lowballers will be ignored.

RSBFS
Not everyone would consider this a sportbike, but it is sporty and for those of us that love the vintage look with modern capabilities, it is a cool ride. The darkness of the green gets me every time. These design details give the bike more character and depth. As Tad pointed out in 2023, the GB500 “offers looks inspired by classic British machines of the 50s and 60s like the Norton Manx and Velocette Thruxton, along with a characterful, reliable, and durable Honda single-cylinder engine and modern running gear. They represent the best of two worlds: a bike with vintage styling and modern[ish] performance, a classic for people who don’t want to spend all Saturday prepping their bike for a Sunday ride. It’s a sportbike for people who love the classics but have nothing to prove.”

Looking at how these have been selling on BaT, I can see why the seller plans to ignore any lowballers. You can look back to 2019 and ignore the Ronaflation. Seems like a fair price for someone that’s looking for a cool cafe racer.

Good luck to the buyer and seller.
