1991 Honda CBR-600 F-2

Honda CBR600 F2

This caught my attention while surfing Craigslist. This color scheme was my favorite from this year and model and looking back now, it still is. (No offense to the pink aficionados of the early 90s.)

Cycle World did a write up about the CBR-600 F-2 stating, “Owners of the F2 report that it was a very balanced bike that could be street-ridden or raced on the track with equal ease. Unlike today’s extremely narrow-focus bikes, middleweights of the nineties generation were expected to do it all. The dyno charts of 1991 show the CBR-F2 making a class-leading 85 horsepower and turning quarter-mile times of 11.3 seconds at 120 mph. And it was not only the quickest and faster bike in the 600cc class, it still delivered 42 mpg. Honda ruled the 600cc roost and would not face a serious challenge until the new Ninja ZX-6R arrived in 1995.”

Bone stock. Low miles for it’s age 13,500 k mi. 

100 miles ago I had the F-2 completely gone through at P&M Motorcycle’s.

Which includes–
•Carbs rebuilt and sinked.
•All 3 brake calipers rebuilt – new pads.
•spark plugs. 
•All fluids, oil’s and filters replaced. 
•O.E.M. air filter. 
•O.E.M. petcock valve replaced. 
•New tires F&R – Michelin Pilot Road 4’s.

This bike turns heads every time I ride it. 

Always covered in garage.

Bike suits beginner, intermediate and advanced riders.

RSBFS:
I rode a pink and blue one back in 94. These seemed way more racey than it’s predecessor, the Hurricane. And the white is Honda 90s all the way.

The following year, 1993, Honda came out with the CBR900 RR and it stole the spotlight from all sport bikes. This is a capable 600CC sport bike. Looking at the miles and these photos it seems worth considering.
