Honda had two V-twin solutions in their line-up for a few years, with the SuperHawk playing the supersport role to the RC51’s superbike. Today’s VTR1000F looks to have been adult-owned and carefully ridden for its rather low 10K miles.

A quick search on SuperHawk and RC51 chassis will illustrate the differences between the two machines. Both are alloy twin-spars, but the VTR1000F uses the crankcase casting to locate the swingarm. The engines are different as well, slightly less oversquare and less compression aboard the SuperHawk, but still a very able 110 hp. Somewhat more budget conscious, the VTR1000F used conventional forks, and 296mm brakes that reviewed as merely excellent rather than overpowering. The thirsty combination of 48mm Keihin carburetors and a 4.2 gallon tank caught flak on earlier models, but 2002 and later models hold 5.0 gallons.
This Illinois example is almost without modification and also lacks any suggestion of damage. The blue is as unusual as the smaller turn signals and rear fender-ectomy are typical. The owner shouts it out in the eBay auction –
