This looks to be a very good example of Yamaha’s original YZF platform with good miles and period correct light modifications that includes Vance and Hines SSR exhaust, fender eliminator kit and LP flush mount front directional indicators.

Back in the day, these were fairly popular in my area and for good reason. They offered good power, good handling, a top speed of 165mph, racer boy looks and all of Yamaha’s exhausted R&D under the fairings.
I know these sit below the iconic R7 on collectors list, but I feel they are deserving of a place at the table.
Since 98′ was the last year for this platform, it would fall under the “Bookend” for reasons to have one in your collection. Unless you’re like myself and only collect pennies and pocket lint- at that point you’d have to flog it like it owed you money.

1998 Yamaha YZF-R 750. Very clean near original condition.
-Rear fender deleted, aftermarket front turn signals, rear seat cowl and Vance & Hines exhaust.
-All original paint and plastics in very nice glossy condition.
-Bike has never been down or damaged.
-Tires are like new and just changed oil and new plugs.

-Does have a small dent in tank that could probably be pulled and a very small crack in the backrest seat cushion.

-2 owner bike

I’m thinking with 16k on the clock you could enjoy and collect it at the same time. I suspect if you chose to ride it, you’d have no issue hanging with your buddies newer DuHonKaw rRRrRR 2000cc
